Not gift wrapping tape. Packing tape. Shipping tape. So many varieties, prices, colors, widths, dispenser types and levels of strength. We’re all used to these variables when purchasing tape. But…do you ever consider sound? Sound?!?
Over the years, we’ve observed that the sheer sound of the tape coming off the dispenser is enough to make some clients wince. Many of our elder clients are super sensitive to intense sounds. They may tolerate this high pitched ripping sound for the first dozen boxes. But the irritating vibrations can build up and cause real discomfort.
While most manufacturers do not incorporate acoustic considerations into their tape design, there are some that do. It’s called “quiet tape”. Yup. One “quiet tape” we have found is Bandit tape which comes with it’s own dispenser. You can find it on their site, bandittapegun.com, or on Amazon. A quick Google search will also yield other brands.
