BERGFELD's returned to the NAPO conference this year to teach a session:

"Helping Hoarders"

In this practical session, Kristin guided professional organizers through the complex issues of working with elder hoarders, including a summary of current research, review of ethical issues, updated assessment tools, plus many "How-To's" for working with clients who hoard, based on BERGFELD's 20 years of experience.

The National Joint Conference of the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and the Association on Aging (ASA)

For the third consecutive year, BERGFELD's conducted a workshop at the Joint Conference of the ASA/NCOA.  This year's subject was:

"Elders Who Hoard; Putting Themselves, Their Homes and Others at Risk"

The workshop will cover the increased number of elder hoarders coming to public attention, and successful approaches by professionals including comprehensive research, therapies, and practical steps to take to help elder hoarders.
